If you spend any amount of time on Instagram I am sure some influencer has told you that you need the Billie Razor. They claim this is the best shave of their lives, it lasts longer than a typical shave, and so much more!
If you ask me, the gold standard in hair removal is laser hair removal. I have previously had laser hair removal on multiple areas and I am not being dramatic here when I say it is truly life changing! At least it has been for someone like me who has dark pigmented hair that grows like a weed! I can shave in the morning and have stubble by lunch. I jokingly tell people if you cross a gorilla and big foot thats how you get someone with my thick dark, quickly growing body hair.
Since having laser hair removal my hair grows back much slower, finer, and less dense. However, because I have not continued with treatments I still do need to shave. This lead me to hunt for a razor that would help with my dry skin, razor burn, and ingrown hairs. Bonus points if I didn't have to shave as often or change my blade every other time I shaved like I found myself needing to do with some razors.

What is the Billie Razor?
In the slim chance you have't yet heard of the Billie Razor let me fill you in! The Billie Razor is a razor subscription service that automatically delivers two new razor heads right to your front door either once a month, every other month, or every three months depending on how often you shave. Personally, I have my subscription set to every 3 months because I do not have to shave as often since I previously had laser hair removal in many areas of my body.
This made in the USA reusable razor is composed of 5 super sharp nickel-free blades that claim to never rust. Each super sharp razor head has a 360* ring of charcoal shave soap that not only helps the blades run smoothly across your skin, but give the added benefit of deeply cleaning your skin with each swipe of the ergonomic, anti-slip rubber handle.
What is included with the Billie Razor subscription?
For your initial $9 you receive your Razor Starter Kit which consists of:
The ergonomic, anti-slip rubber handle
Magnetic holder to mount in your shower
2 reusable blades
Then for $9 either once a month, every other month, or every 3 months you will automatically receive 2 fresh sharp new blades delivered right to your doorstep until you cancel your subscription.
Billie does offer other products such as a travel case for $5 which I also purchased.
Other items that I haven't tried yet are:
Makeup wipes for $9
Shave cream for $8
Since I haven't tried any of these products yet I won't get into detail on them. However, due to their clean ingredients I am interested and will most likely be trying out a few of these in the future.
How long does a Billie Razor last?
I will admit, I have been very impressed with how long each razor head lasts. I have tried MANY other razors with built in moisture strips or soap rings and found myself needing to change them out every 3-4 shaves or so.
That has not been the case with Billie! When I was first selecting how often to receive my replacement heads I thought there was no way 2 heads every three months would be enough, even with me only shaving about once a week. I guess the team over at Billie really knows what they are talking about because I have been using my Billie Razor for just over 2 months and JUST needed to switch to my second razor head.
Does the Billie Razor make your shave last longer?
Although I do feel like the Billie Razor does give a smooth, close shave, I do not believe it made my shave last any longer. Like I have mentioned, I have previously had laser hair removal, so I typically shave one time a week at most to most areas of my body. However, I do typically fully shave my bikini area 1-2 times a week. Although I do enjoy the shave I get with the Billie Razor it does not give me a drastically noticeable longer lasting shave. I truly believe the only thing that will do this is to continue with laser hair removal treatments.

Does the Billie Razor help with razor burn?
This is going to be a case by case scenario. Everyone's skin reacts differently. I personally found that not only has this helped with my razor burn, which I am prone to on my bikini area and inner thighs, but it helped with reducing ingrown hairs and how itchy I typically felt in areas after I shaved.
I believe the Billie Razor has helped reduce my razor burn in these sensitive areas thanks to the 5 super sharp blades.
I do think the other products and steps that I have added to my shower routine also really help to reduce razor burn and ingrown hairs. If you are interested in a blog about what products I have found to be most beneficial leave me a comment letting me know!
Is the Billie Razor with it?
You will have to test it out to see if you personally find it worth it, but for only $9 every three months I find the Billie Razor to be worth it. I love how long the blades last and how the automatically show up at my front door so I never have to worry about running out or using my blades for longer than intended and ending up with ingrown hairs or razor burn.
Do I think this razor is life changing? No.
Would I be ok if this product fell off the face of the earth and I could never purchase it again? Yes.
Is this a good product that helps with my razor burn and is budget friendly and conveniently shows up at my front door when I need it without thinking? Yes! And for those reasons I plan to continue my Billie Razor subscription, and perhaps even try out some of their other products. I am most interested in trying their Dry Shampoo next thanks to the clean ingredients and the fact it comes in two formulas for dark or light colored hair.
